Questions and answers
What is Forestry Connect?
It is the professional home of the UK forestry industry: a members-only feed, an industry directory, private messaging, and a jobs and contracts board, all in one place built around how forestry actually works.
How much does membership cost?
Individual membership is £6.99 a month, or £75.49 a year (which saves you 10%). Companies pay £24.99 a month, which includes 3 seats, and can add a seat block as the team grows. Annual billing saves companies 10% too. See the pricing page for the current figures.
What do I get as an individual member?
The full community: post to the feed, build your own profile page, appear in the member directory (only if you want to), connect with other members, send private messages, browse every job in full and save job alerts so new matches land in your inbox.
What does a company membership add?
Everything an individual has, for each seat, plus the ability to post jobs and contracts, a company page with your own branding, and team management so your company admin decides who holds a seat and what each seat can do.
How do company seats work?
Your membership includes 3 seats, one of which is the company admin. Need more? Seats are sold in blocks (up to 10, 11 to 25, 26 to 50, and 51 plus), so you pay for the size of team you actually have. You can change block as you grow.
What is a Collaborator?
Collaborators are hand-picked partner organisations and individuals invited by the Forestry Connect team. They carry a Collaborator badge on the feed and have their own tab in the directory. Collaborator access is by invitation only.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Manage or cancel from your account in a couple of clicks. Your membership runs to the end of the period you have paid for and simply does not renew. The full detail is in our cancellation terms.
Can I switch between monthly and annual?
Yes, from the billing area of your account. The change takes effect at your next renewal.
Do you take payments from outside the UK?
Yes. Prices are in pounds sterling and our payment provider, Stripe, accepts international cards; your bank converts at its usual rate.
Is my card safe?
Payments are handled end to end by Stripe, one of the world’s largest payment providers. We never see or store your card details.
Who can see my profile?
You decide. New profiles are hidden from the directory until you choose to list them, and you control which contact details are shown. Visitors who are not members only ever see a limited teaser of the directory.
How is my account kept secure?
Every login needs your password plus a one-time code sent to your email, so a stolen password on its own is not enough to get in.
How do jobs and job alerts work?
Everyone can see job titles and locations. Members see the full details and how to apply, and can save a search as an alert so new matching listings are emailed to them. Company members can post jobs and contracts.
What happens if my payment fails?
Stripe retries the payment and emails you to update your card. If payment cannot be collected after the retries, access is paused until it is sorted, then everything comes straight back.
What are the rules on the feed?
Be professional, be kind, keep it legal. The full community policy explains what is not welcome and how moderation and reporting work.
How do I get help?
Use the contact page or email us and we will get back to you.
